Saturday AM Cartoons
The problem with perfection-minded dopes like myself is that the fear of sharing anything unfinished becomes a limitation to output or growth. The enjoyment of the act of creation starts to become replaced by the fear of looking stupid.
In 2013, to break the monotony and fight the feeling that I wasn't exercising my illustration muscles enough, I took out a small block of time every week to post one dumb idea a week to Instagram. These minimal illustrations became a self-explanatory series entitled, "Saturday AM Cartoons."
I think it helped. And really how many brunch photos and "blessed" hashtags can one bear witness to in a week anyway?
